Our story began in 2002, when our store opened its doors as Details for the Home, bringing unique finds and special touches to the Haymarket community. In 2021, Candy and her husband Rob purchased the store and shortened the name to Details, continuing the tradition of helping our customers find beautiful, meaningful, and unexpected treasures for themselves and their homes.
Our home is just as special as what you’ll find inside. Our store is located in a historic building built in 1889, filled with character, charm, and stories from years gone by. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll experience the original creaky hardwood floors and stairs—a little reminder that you’re standing in a place with more than a century of history.
Over the years, Details has become more than just a store. It’s a place where neighbors meet, friendships grow, memories are made, and our community comes together. We’re incredibly grateful for every customer who has walked through our doors since 2002 and become part of our story.
